Best Makeovers From Movies

What is better in a movie than major make-over scene? Yeah, I can’t think of anything either. If a movie has a make-over scene it is usually my favorite scene of the whole entire movie and I usually watch it over and over again. It’s amazing what a little makeup, hair straightening, makeup and the right clothes can do to a girl. Here is my list of some of my favorites:

Brittany Murphy in Clueless

”Cher’s main thrill in life is a makeover”

Clueless is one of the ultimate movies from the 90’s. I love that Cher & Dionne took pity on the new girl at school who was in desperate need of a makeover. They definitely used their popularity for a good cause by turining the plain-Jane Tai into a gorgeous “Betty“.

Doris Day in Calamity Jane

“Whip, crack, away!”

Doris Day went from dirty cowboy to classy, western beauty in Calamity Jane. She showed everyone how womanly she could be when she showed up to the ball in her famous pink dress.

Anne Hathaway in the Princess Diaries

”Me? A princess?..SHUT UP!”

Anne really does know how to do a makeover in a movie. Thank God Paolo came to Mia Thermopolis’ rescue when she was in desperate need of a princess makeover.

Drew Barrymore in Never Been Kissed

“I’m not Josie Grossie anymore!”

So Josie Geller never really had a “makeover scene” in Never Been Kissed. She actually tried to giver herself a new look in the beginning of the movie but it wasn’t sucessful considering the first picture is of her “new look”. It was once she started hanging out with the popular girls that she developed a cleaner, prettier look. I LOVE THIS MOVIE! Sorry, I just had throw that in 🙂

Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman

                                                                     “Rodeo Drive baby!”

Of course Vivian had be on this list. She too never really had a “makeover scene” either she just had one of the most popular shopping scenes in movie history…which is pretty much just as good. Rodeo Drive did her good (once she was allowed to shop there).

Melanie Griffin in Working Girl

“I’ve got a head for business and bod for sin”

Gah I hate her seriously disturbed 80’s hair do! Luckily, her lying about being the boss made her have the bright idea of getting a more sophisticated look. Well done Tess!

Sandra Bullock in Miss Congeniality

                                                                         “Hey! I’m gliding here!”

This is definitely one of my favorite “makeover scenes” of all time. Sandra Bullock looks hott after exchanging her frizzy hair, bushy eyebrows, and man boots for a more glam look so that she could look like a real candidate for the “Miss United States” pageant. “Mr. Vick.. nice work!”

Anne Hathaway in Devil Wears Prada

You used to make fun of the Runway girls, now you’re one of them!”

Okay so this along with Sandra Bullock in Miss Congeniality are probably my favorites. It’s definitely a tie. Like I said before, Anne really knows how to do a makeover scene. With the help of Nigel, Andy transformed from frumpy to fashionable…very fashionable.
